Back to Blogging
After a couple of crazy-busy years, I decided to come back and sweep out the cobwebs on my blog. So here is the first post in 2 years!
One of the activities in my classroom that is always popular, is a sentence to picture match activity. There are 14 colour-coded sets and each set focuses on two easy sight word sentences. The sight words are fairly basic and other unknown words can be decoded by either using the initial sound and pictures or through sounding out. I have found that the repetition in this activity really helps build confidence in sight word recognition and basic reading. The cute clipart is from My Cute Graphics.
I hope your kids find this as fun and useful as my bunch do.
